Bacon Avocado Tree, Grafted – VERY COLD HARDY
The plant offered is a Grafted Bacon Avocado Liner.
The Bacon is a TYPE B avocado.
They are SELF FERTILE, but will produce more if you have a Type A Avocado to cross polinate.
We have HASS TYPE A, Avocados as well.
Their flesh is pale yellow-green, and it is less oily than Hass avocados but equally as delicious, with a buttery and creamy texture.
This plant is a late producing variety and will produce large amounts of excellent flavored Avocado with 6-12oz. fruits. The fruits are oval-shaped with smooth, thin skin that is dark green in color with faint speckles throughout.
Will produce in about 1-2 years when larger.
VERY COLD HARDY down to 23 degrees, great for the orchard or for the backyard grower.
These produce almost year round with the harvest season being from October to February.
The tree’s themselves are CURRENTLY between 12″-30″+ tall depending on age and the orange growing liner is approx.: 9″.
These trees are Medium Upright in height depending on trimming or not.
The Bacon avocado is considered a Mexican variety.
